A proxy for UDP is called router, maybe a pipe could help. but never just Proxy.
It should be hard for a home user to redirect UDP traffic free of charge.

I just checked echelon, the ban is really permanent, which is rare for someone who haven't been banned for cheating before (at least that very same account does not contain an older ban for cheating, only for teamkilling, camping and the stuff). It's probably because of that comment on his profile: "Wallhack, cheating on other server."

Its a special quality of cheating, when u talk to ur victims or 'look them in the eyes'
I prefer to cut any possible connection to such sucktards.

Its not black magic.
Proxying is a thing thats attached to TCP for protocol design reasons.
Theres possibility, its easy. It means that u define an Address 'proxy server side'.
This proxy, where u cant specify target address from client: its called a pipe.

Theres more ways for redirection: Tuneling on IP layer.
Sounds strange again, but is simple (or better: its standard technologies of today).
Keyword: VPN.
It means that u have some bucks, nobody give u that for free.
Its cause mainly enterprises use it, in order to connect the fucking copy machine in a branch office.
They MUST pay, i think anyone agrees just...

To all people who wish to see Forovex tortured, divided into four
parts and afterwards burnt on a stake:

I know what it feels like to get tricked by someone. It feels shitty,
and it's something I never forget. But I'm old enough to forgive, and
I want to shed some light on a few aspects that seem to got lost in
the heat of the battle.

1) Forovex is young (14 years) and still lacks quite a bit of
maturity. But if you think back what some (all?) of you did in your
own adolescene, you would have to triple-permban yourself from
life, according to your own views.

Today, you know that you're more mature and that you can be
trusted, and you also want be be trusted. I think the same
will also apply to Forovex (some time) after this incident.

2) Forovex only used [dswp-cheer], not [dswp]. If a Metallica groupie
stole something, no-one thinks Metallica are thieves.

3) Forovex admitted it, explained everything in detail, laid off his
tag and said sorry. How many cheaters do you know that do this, and
then don't care for the people on the server?

4) In general (not only in this case), banning someone permanently
(the same applies to e. g. putting someone for the rest of his life
to jail) leads to two things:

- You permanently ignore that person. That is a *lot* of violence.
- You destroy that person's hopes. That is a *lot* of violence.

If you just close your eyes to people causing problems, things will
get worse -- maybe you can prevent these people from directly
harming the people on your server, but then they will harm other
people, or they will harm themselves.

The only (longterm) solution is to honestly try to understand these
people and to communicate with them (which includes to
open-mindedly and really listen to them).
If your emotions are too much in the way for listening and
understanding, try it later, if you can.

Yes, there will be a subtle distrust in the back of your heads for a
long time, until Forovex proves unconditionally trustworthy, but I
think he deserves that (second) chance.


Therefore, I would like to ask all of you to reconsider your views
(not only about Forovex, but just any human being) and -- when
your emotions cooled down a bit -- adjust the length of the ban to
something you (permanently ;-) deem appropriate, be it 3 months or 1
year or even 10 years.

Besides that funny note I agree with your views, but I'm just a moderator.
And it IS true that we'll always be wary of 'is he cheating again?' when/if he's unbanned and playing again. Which isn't really relaxed now, is it?

btw I thought humppa was gonna turn his permban into a 1 month ban anyways, or did I hear incorrectly?
