UrT Config Guide

Postby Samtron » 09.30.09

I found a nice guide for all the config options:

It may be uninteresting for all the scripting pros, but good for beginners, cause everything is in one PDF file. On his website there are also details about the weapons:

Really nice guides.
Have at look at weapon comparison :

Surprising results between M4 and LR300 : M4 accuracy > LR300 accuracy but M4 reload time > LR300 reload time...

Yeah, the comparison is interesting, but I don't know how scientific his accuracy measurement methods are. In the end I think my feeling for a weapon is most important for weapon choice.

this guys stuff was discussed very hard in the urt.net board...

the scripting stuff is pretty much ok.

but:

the accuracy values he got like this:
map firing range, aim for a bulls eye, empty magazine... in all firemodes. burst, semi, spam.
... this means the accuracies are crap. they do not show how good weapons really are, when handled the "best" way, like using burst accordingly and stuff. also he did not compare like 20 shots of each weapon. acc for m4 = 30 bullets, acc for negev = 90 bullets. go figure what that means... numbers, 'real' ones.
the number of bullets per second is also wrong... m4 and lr have EXACTLY the same rate of fire.
dondon from the urt.net forums made .avi files out of demos, and compared which pictures had muzzle flashes in it.
m4 and lr were picture-wise exact the same...

the reloading times... he sure got them with a stopwatch. horrendous measurement errors there, too, i bet?

[/2c]

it is also kinda strange how silencer and laser are less accurate than just laser...
