What's your favorite combination of gear?

Testing now the AK103. I tried this weapon a couple of times, but never feel so much confidence using it.

Now just need some time and rounds to play well with it, although i lose some aim at longer distances...

You will absolutely need the laser sight with AK. Otherwise it's no good on distance >1m.

Personally i don´t like to use the laser sight, because i can be easily spotted... damn red dot.... lol

I prefer using the silencer.

I use both laser and silencer. With laser you just have to aim at wall/floor/roof, not directly where you're heading if you're sneaking.

On a 40+ players server, that dot doesn't really mean much. And neither does silencer, and it also decreases the fire rate. Although, it may suit your style better that way. Gaming is about fun, after all. Personally, I like my weapon to fire as fast as possible, that's why I almost always run around with mp5k, it's precise and fast, although not very powerful.

Hmmm, never realized that the silencer reduces the fire rate. I should give a try to the laser sight next time.

Silencer = slower fire rate. That's what i noticed on automatic lr300.
On AK u play with semi-auto so it doesn't do anything.

i just tested with a stopwatch, and strongly beg to differ. it may feel different, but that is because of the sound.

same with lr/m4.
both weapons have the EXACT same rate of fire. someone confirmed this through making an .avi out of a demo, and comparing single pictures.

i bet the same will show when using silencer.

Having made about 50 000 frags with LR300 + silencer on wurst I confirm that you keep the same rate and same amount of damage : the soft sound of the weapon just tricks you
