no really, im not harsh, im trying to be realistic.

you and 1000 more people liking it, doesnt make the game viable. its nerdy, lacks lots of the features modern gaming has, BESIDES the graphics.

and ye, you my friend, are a nerd.

anyways, my point is if you want more than thousand players, its not gonna happen with urt as it is.

on the other hand, here at dswp, there are lots of capable people, and q3 source is a good base, so if you feel like it, you can start a new and better project :)

Well dunno if FS is really aware of this? I mean, unless they have something under the arm, the game would became "extinct" in a matter of months.

Even the older Unreal Tournament 99/Quake3 have more players online than this. I remember few years ago when UrT globally had about 4000 players, and the dswp server was always full with 45 players.

Maybe they would release on Steam the HD version (if some day it will come out)...

It's not all doom and gloom. Our internal numbers indicate a strong upwards trend and a lot of positive indicators that if we just stick the course then good things will happen.

this is so far away in the good wishes' zone. these days the development phase of a game costs like millions of dollars, not to mention the top titles where its hundreds of millions. and fs are like 5 people or so? they cant make angry birds m8, forget about viable game in steam. yep there are good indy games, but even they are expensive these days. and fs are not the former blizzard north making torchlight.

the only good thing that can happen is the total shutdown of both fs and urt. good times are gone. no game has returned to life once dead. until then, its all false hopes and wasted cpu, memory and bandwidth.
