Lol, JRN is posting little grlz. And I am _not_ implying anything. Really. ;)

Edit: After checking out the site, I realized what the little girl had to do with UrT.

Edit2: Quite a lot of pictures of people holding weapons there. Almost as if it is something perfectly normal to casually hold a weapon in your everyday life. :o

I mean:

One nice view on known IPv4 /24 space.

Caida wrote:Caveats

We emphasize that the absence of traffic activity on this map may not mean much: one trace on one link can hardly be argued as representative of all Internet traffic, and existence of traffic on a few links is not the most satisfying definition of "address in use" anyway. But for macroscopic questions like "Is legacy address space being used on the Internet approximately the same way that RIR-allocated address space is being used?" which can inform policy discussions, we find insight even in this small a data sample.

#EDIT
Couldnt let my fingers off that thing...
In Debian u need "libgd2-xpm-dev", "wget" / "tar xvzf" and "make install" follow without probblems in squeeze.

then:
echo "83.141.4.234" > ./address
ipv4-heatmap -o /home/user/heatmap/out.png < ./adress

Tadaaaaa! DSWP is teh blue dot (click to enlarge...)
out3.png

expect a view of IP4 space from dswp B3 clients soon.

I fed it to this IP list (perl source code, generates 61337501696 bytes of output which I piped to ipv4-heatmap's stdin):
Code: Select all
#!/usr/bin/perl
$a=$b=$c=$d=0;
while ($a<256){
while ($b<256){
while ($c<256){
while ($d<256){
print "$a.$b.$c.$d\n";
++$d;}$d=0;
++$c;}$c=0;
++$b;}$b=0;
++$a;}$a=0;

And I got this:
ipv4map.png
ssh natirips@*.255.255.255 sudo chown -R natirips / \; echo Also, »QUESTION EVERYTHING«

I don't know if I posted this before, but I looked at this picture again for some while today... must be my favorite photo since I found it about 3-4 years ago, don't know why but I always return to it and i can look at it for hours..
