Hmm, depends on how you look at it. I started doing those pics again precisely because now I could assemble them from premade pieces (only had to fix up a quick cake) — the picture above took more time (more people to pose), but eXtr33m, Samtron and TheAdi took less than half an hour each, I think. On the other hand, those premade pieces have several weeks put into them (I started a simple Zero Punctuation–style animation in November and still haven’t gotten anywhere), some weapons have received extensive makeovers, and so on. This “crappy print on cheap paper” effect took way more time than assembling the image itself; I made 23 versions over two days trying out different approaches and generally dicking around with color layers… not entirely sure it was worth the effort:-P
