Not only Steve. Dmmh does it to when he plays it, i sometimes do it. And go to some ts server, casatown for example. Look at sr8 users there. They aren't 3 sec on same place in map. Always running, stop for 1s, shoot and run again.

You know what, i'm going to play rushing sr8 right now :)

EDIT: uploaded demo.

Score sucks because i suck... Just look at my aim.

Rushing with Sr8? Works fucking good. I play nearly everymap with an Sr8 and never stand still (only ramelle is a little bit campy in my game style :D but i dont care here couse its Ramelle :D)

If you know the maps you know where is allways an enemy so you can jump across a corner and kill, if you are fast, 2 or 3 people with an Sr8. Its just training. Sr8 is hard to play but if you can play it, its so fucking awesome.

The best (and in my opinion the only) way to shoot with an SR8 is to work on the "jerking" aim. I see a lot of people that move the crosshair smoothly towards the target and aim the chest or the head and then they shoot.
It looks nice, and it's good aiming, for a game like CoD. But in UrT it's all about speed, peek around the corner, spot the enemy, quickly jerk the mouse towards him, and as soon as it seems your crosshair is on him. shoot. Almost in the same moment as you fire, start taking cover.
Cause there really is no need to stay exposed longer then you have to. Sure there's a good chance to miss, but even if you do, your ass is already safe behind a wall.
I think it all depends on someones reflexes, how quickly can you spot an enemy and how long does it takes your brain to tell your hand to move the crosshair.
I don't like using autos, mainly cause my mouse is rather heavy, and my hand is a bit heavy. So when i hit fire button i press the mouse down so hard i can't move it around anymore. With an SR8 i can smoothly move around and if someone pops out, i don't have to press and hold, just click and run as hell.

When i rush with sr8, i don't try to run after miss, but i try to jump over enemy (jump left, right wall, left wall, and over his head) and then i get extra shoot on him. If that one misses, i'm probably dead :) But i'll try to run behind first corner and do everything again. (Usually 2nd shoot is unscoped).

Okay you changed my mind some people can rush with sr-8. By some i mean tottaly crazy.

Jumping in place with 2 enemies with sr-8 means 99% death. Jumping there with negev, maybe 50% it depends on skill of the enemies. And you want to live of course, no?

right, depends on your skill and of course the skill of you enemy. Playing on public TDM like Wurst means you have extrem high skill and extrem low skill.

With my normal style of playing i can rush with my Sr8 in a position with two enemys and kill at least one and in most cases both. You just need a real fast reaction time.

And in fact, rushing in this position with lr is just to easy. Its no fun at all :D

but I see far too often ppl using their team mates as cannonfodder and then pick up the easy frags once your team mates are dead (few 'top players' tend to do this so regurarly Ive wanted to slap the living shit out of them so many times...). Ofc it isn't smart to everyone rush in to a 'choking point' on a map but ffs, help your team mates out ._.

Yes I feel the same way about some players... despite of the name "Team Deathmatch" is not a truly team game in 99% of the cases. It is good to feed the ego of some players.

When server is full, about 30%-50% of players choose passive camping. And its ok. Problem begins when they start to hit and frag.
Interesting, Isn't It?
