stupid organisation, putting thousands of people in a tunnel with only 2 exits is the most silly thing you can do with such a massive event. Fuckin morons. And the police are assholes 2. They did everything wrong here.
Busses of people were still being brought to the fuckin tunnel even though they disaster had already happened. Idiots!

The tunnel was used as bought an entrance AND a exit to the festival terrain, so you have 2 streams of people. And it was the only way to get in/ out. MORONS!

totally sad, and jea, the real question is, why didnt they prevent ppl coming in when they realised that the tunel is full.

Other thing, if thats true, (as some ppl talking bout cause of this) u cant prevent morons of using forbiden ways to get in and causing catastrophe by that....

Was once in the similar situation. The only difference was the tunel was short enough and no one died (and i had huge friend with to box our way through). Even if nothing excalate, standing there in the mass invites the panic feelings abnormaly fast. Breathe deeply and try to concentrate. Wurstis idea: do fitness regularly.
Probably the most awfull feelings wait for the survivors who walked on over.......

the festival terrain supposedly was meant for around 300.000 people. Every moron on the planet knows the Love Parade attracts more then 300.000 people. It's ok if 1.100.000 people can not enter the festival terrain, it is however not ok to be so stupid to have all those people enter and exit via the same fuckin tunnel. I mean, jezus, how stupid can you be? A child can decipher this isn't a very wise thing. If you've ever been to a party, you know this is stupid.

I know you have to guide people to the event, but for fucks sake, just use normal fences so that when panic starts, people can push over the fences. Concrete is kinda hard to push over

German district attorney is looking into the events to determine who can be held accountable for involuntary manslaughter, good thing if you ask me, someone has to pay. Probably the last Love Parade the world has seen. Very sad indeed

the weirdest part is that there was no fire or anything, they tried to get IN not out, totally fucked up event.

ye we had exactly the same over here some time ago.
its was with about the same body count, but teens in their very early teen years. got stomped down the stairs at the entrance of a club.

i myself dont feel very well in mass events, im allways thinking: hopefully they dont panic now.
this is another sad proove for the missing intelligence when masses of humans come together.

that it happened here (where everything seems so well-organized) is a funny combination of causes.
first reason should be the love parade organizers themselfes. they insist on a public place since its a "political demonstration"
through that theres no tickets and a lack of toilets.
they had to leave berlin (which would have been big enough) cause of unsolved organizational probs.
the other cause is the state which should be able to handle "a demonstration" so everyone can survive.
in times of peace on public ground, only police can rule.
tip for teh police:
read the chapter "howto lock traffic infrastructure" in french farmers (really political) demonstration manual.

understand that taking chemical drugs and having sex in public place (while listening to techno music) is nothing political.
through this fact, 89-year grandpa fritz meier shouldnt pay it with his taxes.
and believe me, such an event IS expensive.
