I think in the last years something changed: Not the personal internet connection is important for download speed, but the server on ther other end. I seldom can reach more than one Megybyte per second...

speedtest.net sux. i have gigabit ethernet there.
here i get from a nearby debian mirror at least 120 Mbits.

the result before have been by far more slow then 100 Mbit.

we have uploads around 250 Mbit everyday when theres a new custom map on tdm.
