never changed the IP only DNS and routes =/

but I still love the old CS error: "critical error: no error" (OK)

the problem with windows is that crappy software can kill your whole system since there is no real difference between kernel space and user space, your fucking word can crash the kernel :wall:

My Windows XP installation has about 5 years and it is still running smoothly.

Unclefragger,

I could agree with you if we are talking about an older Windows OS that doesn´t use the NT kernel.

I am not saying the NT kernel is best thing out there, but from my experience never had a program that crashed the whole system.

I also use Linux, so don´t torture me. :)

Install c++ and try to call reference or pointer which doesn't exist. Then change it

No, it's not so big problem in Windows as it is in: antivirus, antispyware, firewall...
They make everything you do 3 times slower than it should be. (Windows help a lot)

Never tried that. Honestly when programming I only use Linux because is better for the C language.

3 times slower? Where you got that number?

Svarox I know, and I don´t like to make offtopic but if you don´t mind I think is better to move these posts and create a new thread.

I guess 1x slower for anti-spyware, 1x slower for anti-virus, 1x slower for firewall, which sums up to 3x.

Btw, anyone remember Windows
Virus
Intrusion
Spyware
Trojan
Adware?
