ye that was one of the candidate distros, but its so.. useless :)
i somehow net-installed etch there, they still have those floppy images, but for some reason it wouldnt boot.

then i tried the old oldstable - sarge, but the mirror is now moved to archive, and installer parses the Releases file, gets the word "oldstable" from it and looks for that dir, and it doesnt exists on the archive server, so its pretty much impossible to install it that way, unless some black magic is applied.

on the other hand, sarge floppy with cdrom drivers crashed the install several times, so no luck there.

on the good side, i disabled memory shadowing in bios and etch booted! it took it 24 minutes to boot, but still i count it as a win :) i then enabled the shadowing again, and now it boots normally, everything is fine. dont know how and why it worked. the pc is slow as shit, but so romantic :)

ye im doing stretching and stuff. its amazing how sitting on a chair can ruin your body. 15-20 years ago i could spread my legs full 180 degrees, was doing martial arts and stuff back then, now its about 45 degrees lol. but im working on it. also im doing the traditional indian meditation --> :) helps to relax that broken body...

about linux installations... i played a lot with old hardware and linux and archlinux boots very nice on older systems and is very lightweight...

take it easy bro...recover slowly...that way you give us a chance to get better and maybe have a chance against you next time :D

hey Cookie :)

im mostly a fan of industry-grade distributions, like debian/fedora/slack. i like their defaultness and standardization.

i remember looking at arch some years ago, and disliked it, dont remember why tho. guess its time to give it another try, seems pretty stable and organized now.

hey mate :) ye i got better, or at least good enough to play few maps without having pains the next day. well, except some muscle spasm now and then.

i still play wrong tho and i feel i will injure myself again, so i will have to either learn to play in a more relaxed way or give up the game.
