@topic: I've got 15.4" laptop LCD and it's widescreen (well, sort of :arrow:

How small must your desktop icons be at such high resolutions, I don't think I'd get along with tiny icons.

1) If it's a 27" screen, even this high resolution doesn't make things too small.
2) You can always adjust the size of the icons.
