Well, you copy an image to HDD and burn it as necessary. Otherwise, buy a 100-pack of DVDs and a DVD-RW drive.

If you meant on rescuing data from a disc that was used a mat (or is it pad?) for coffee, I haven't got a faintest clue. Except maybe pay someone loads of money to do some chemistry and extract as much data as they can.

Too bad that we don't use original disc in Croatia. It's like 99% of CDs and DVDs are copies... Original ones are safely stored.

A friend of mine once asked me if I could copy contents of a CD he had, so I told him to put it into CD-RW drive. I started the burn process, it took 40 minutes to read the disc. I was wondering if he put it upside-down, in the end it turned out the disc had a hole in it, was peeled of at one place, and had some cream on it on another place. It burnt successfully anyway in the end.
