We were trying to say that Linux can change clothes easily, while windows wear the same old smelly clothes for years.

Or if you don't like big downloads, there are live distros on a CD, and a few minimalistic ones that fit on less than 50MB. Try Ubuntu or Knoppix for a start. Knoppix a pure-live distribution (you can't install it, it only runs from CD/DVD) while Ubuntu can be installed on your computer as a regular operating system at your option. Just google for them (or google for "linux live CD") and I'm sure you'll find some.SKracht wrote:Chinese there are lots of linux live-dvd's, which means you can just boot the complete OS from a DVD without to install anything.
Just give it a try ;)
I never said it was impossible. It's just that not many people do that as it was not originally meant to be installed. And besides, IMO someone who's absolutely new to Linux shouldn't start by installing Knoppix onto HDD.SteveMcqueen wrote:natirips are you sure it is impissible to install knoppix? ...
