Good to know. In Croatian you have to use really bad swear to offend somebody. (I mean swear so bad that english doesn't even have). We sometimes swear with meaning of "good" or "How are you?".

This is my favorite (it's actually lyrics):

When you listen to the sound of that it doesn't sounds any bit different from any other insult in Croatian. And btw, including animals (and also family, friends, saints(not me, but unfortunately many people do), etc. etc.) is quite usual in Croatian curses .
