Aber soweit ich weiß ist das eine globale Liste, Powerban sowie UAA Ban auf denen bekannte Cheater und die enstprechenden IP sind.

Die Listen sind dann auch im B3 enthalten und somit kann, insofern die IP gleich ist, ein cheater der auf einem anderen Server mit Powerban geflogen ist auch nicht mehr auf unserem Spielen. Einfach nur eine art vernetzung verschiedener Server in einer Banliste.

und was ist wenn man gebannt wir weil man skill hat und die denken du cheatest kennt ihr alle ja auch dann ist man doc auch aufm wurst server gebant oder?

Naja, aufgrund der wechslenden IPs in Europa bringt das nicht all zu viel

Von der UAA weiß ich, dass sich da mehrere Admins die Demos angucken und dann erst gebannt wird, also nicht jeder wird da einfach gebannt...

Das mit den dynamischen IPs ist natürlich ein Problem für Bans in Europa, aber selbst die GUID eines Players ist auf jedem Server anders, also bringt auch das nichts, selbst wenn alle B3 nutzen... Soweit ich weiß gibt es noch keine goldene Lösung, die kommt dann vielleicht irgendwann mit UrT 4.2 passport.

Ich hoffe es. Dann sind wir Admins zwar nahezu Arbeitslos aber wenigstens wird das spiel dann besser, mehr skill, weniger Cheater und man muss sich nicht mehr mit all den Deppen rum ärgern.

Ok I guess you get the answer, here is another one for non-german people =)

Powerban is a project started by one of the most famous french clan, SG. The goal is to gather banlists from different trusted clans and make them publicly available to fight cheaters more efficiently. From this link http://www.snipersgaulois.com/bans.powerban.php you can generate the banlist you want according to the various sources. This list contains UAA bans too.
With the new B3 version I installed Courgette banlist plugin, which uses this list and update it every hours. If someone connects with an IP address found in the list, he is kicked and you get the "XXX is banned by Powerban" message.
At the moment dswp is not part of this project, it sure would be lots of additional cheaters IP addresses, but I'm not sure if it's worth it until the 4.2 is released.

Don't worry you won't be powerbanned, unless you cheat Better not by the way, or else you would be instantly banned from more than 50 UrT servers :p

But does this IP ban makes any sense in Europe / France ... ?
IP range would make sense, but with such a big list you would ban half the world I guess...

In France we have more and more of fixed IP addresses. In fact, there is an option to use IP range from the banlist, but I didn't enable it (yet =)
