Today I noticed how I have to press FIRE to re-spawn after being killed.

I'm just curious if that's on purpose or is there something wrong with the serwer config?

hm its at least "normal" in q3 that u have to press fire to respawn in ffa/tdm.

Something is wrong with the forum or with my brain ...

I think I wrote a reply to JRN containing the
explanation that rcon commands (such as
"g_waverespawn 1") do not get reliably executed, so
that I will take extra care next time and maybe extend
my rcon wrapper to verify settings I have set before.
But my posting seems gone ... or did I not submit it?
Did I just say that on mumble?

It was probably on Mumble (or in-game chat); I sure do remember you complaining about rcon stuff occasionally disappearing.
