Ok this is not a screenie of me playing but since this is a screenshot section i'll post it here.
I speced a player today he was wearing tacs but for some reason i didn't see what he saw. Somehow all players were covered in this blue overlay. Players look exactly the same as when looking with tacs only they're blue and tacs effect applies only to players and not on the map.

this is not a hack but a known bug IIRC.

if you are in free-float specmode following a player that uses tacs this occurs.

if you were speccing him properly (so you'd see his crosshair and all), this would not happen.

should be easily reproduceable.

i really want these models...

forbidding overbright models is crap, as well as locking netsettings to moronic values, disabling picmip and forcing people with bad computers to suffer just because you cannot stand to see "your" game not being played at best gfx settings...

with the dev team having changed A LOT over all the years, the ones developing now are mostly not the ones that created the game in the first place, and all of them now just want to form the game after their liking.
but because they are not the initial creators they should rethink decisions twice before enforcing them.

anyway, that is how it all is and will be, the game has been around for years, and despite some uber rough times it is still areound. and will continue on to be, because there is nothing, where you can head to, as there are no valueable replacements for it. i have seen people being away for years, just to come back again. i myself play this game for almost a decade now. what can i say?
but because of all this, the current dev team has the moral duty, not to fuck things up for the worse.
and forcing them to buy new comps just because this "is not 1999 anymore" does simply not do as a valid justification...

especially because this all still bases on a 1999 game...
