I used rain and sweeper instead of my screensaver, which was/is off. Now i don't have such thing, and i don't need it.

Transparent windows are fine if the background is dark and letters/foreground is bright. That way transparency makes the background appear nice and you can see well through it while still being able to see/read contents of the window easily. If you have white windows with black letters than the white will remain white when transparent, but the dark letters will become unreadable easily (depending on what's behind the window).

From my experience, for optimal viewing of transparent windows AND saving your eyes from fatigue the best color choice is:
background: dark-gray (not too dark, not too bright)
foreground/text: orange, or almost any other bright color (dark blue, pink, purple and dark green suck big time)

The goal is to make the background dark and foreground bright (unless it is more important for you to see the background rather than the foreground:), but at the same time not to make them have overly high contrast.

You can also try dark blue background and light blue foreground, or dark green background and light green foreground*, etc.

*(green looks nice and cool and doesn't cause much eye fatigue normally, but staring at it for over 20 hours a day makes your eyes kinda oblivious of it...)

I don't think I'm having troubles finding wallpapers, I already have a collection of almost 1500 wallpapers. I hade more before, but at some point I decided to move some of them to non-wallpapers category because it was hard to find those I wanted (which is up to my mood) among all of them.
