So fine, here's my Ancient Log Of Unsuccessfulness v.0.0.0.5beta3 Enhanced Edition...
First I googled for ioq3, and found this:
http://ioquake3.org/files/1.36/installer/ioquake3-1.36-7.1.x86_64.runEh, that site's ioq3 sucks big time. Never visit them. That version requires me to install full Quake 3, it's not that I don't have it, but the version I have is for Windows I think. And I don't know what would I need it for if I wanted to install the original quake 3... ouh...
I also found some instructions for ioq3's source there, but they look scary...
I tried with openarena's binary from their subversion, both the "legacy" and the "normal" one. The same story as before - "server uses protocol verion 68".
So remembered to check ID's site:
http://www.idsoftware.com/At the bottom of the page's right "panel", there's a link:
ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/source/quake3-1.32b-source.zipIt downloads as cca. 21-21.5 KB/s...
Then I read teh readme, and try compiling it:
Code:
natirips@nati-lap:/razno/igre/UrbanTerror/q3src/quake3-1.32b/code$ ./unix/cons -- gcc=gcc-4.3 g++=g++-4.3
: Nema takve datoteke ili direktorija
natirips@nati-lap:/razno/igre/UrbanTerror/q3src/quake3-1.32b/code$ ./unix/cons
: Nema takve datoteke ili direktorija
natirips@nati-lap:/razno/igre/UrbanTerror/q3src/quake3-1.32b/code$ cons
Program 'cons' trenutno nije instaliran. Možete ga instalirati upisujući:
sudo apt-get install cons
bash: cons: command not found
natirips@nati-lap:/razno/igre/UrbanTerror/q3src/quake3-1.32b/code$ cd unix/
natirips@nati-lap:/razno/igre/UrbanTerror/q3src/quake3-1.32b/code/unix$ cons
Program 'cons' trenutno nije instaliran. Možete ga instalirati upisujući:

natirips@nati-lap:/razno/igre/UrbanTerror/q3src/quake3-1.32b/code/unix$
Btw, "Nema takve datoteke ili direktorija" literaly word-to-word translates to "No such file or directory".
So I hope it will be better/fixed in 4.2.
