You mean like if there's not enough maps, automatically those from the top of the previous(old) list are added at the bottom of the new one? Sounds like a good idea.

W00t, sorry for interrupting the map conversation going on, but has anyone else noticed that when the server is full you get a lot more lag and fps spikes (=more than full 32 server)? Well at least that's what I'm experiencing Ofc it could be just a problem with my computer (I do have cable modem and I've always had small lag spikes regurarly). Though, the problems have never been as bad as today (at some point I had my gun flickering or dissappearing from screen totally ). Also I personally think that the more ppl you have on the server on fps game, the more they are going to camp It also seems that smoke nades and nade guns have been enabled again

Edit: Oh and for the record, I do have pretty good PC that should run UrT just fine (pretty much constant 100+fps except for the spikes...).

I didn't notice any lag spikes but I have huge fps drops, like some other people. In fact we are just testing the 45 slots server... if big maps don't solve these issues, I would militate to go back to 32 slots

Wow that much !?!! Never seen that...

Sometimes when the bot is slow it can't block everyone trying to use HK and smokes, we are working on this issue... that's why the bot was having some rest while you were playing so HK and smokes could be used, sorry Deviant =)

I experience also the same lags in the internet connection... even after resetting the modem, i cant´ get rid out of the spikes.

Same here, but as wurst set up a new firewall it is hard to tell if that is a cause of the sheer amount of players or a consequence of the new firewall.

Weren't we getting issues with lag and framedrops with 20+ players already, supposedly because of bad netcode in urt?

Framedrops and lags due to the server, but not the ping going up dramatically. It's at 200-300 for me on a full server, sometimes even up to 500. I was still at 80 when it was 32 players (or before the new firewall, can't say for sure)

Weird, I have 25-30 constant with my *french* connection =p This afternoon I experienced some red spikes like you, but it may due to my crappy hardware, especially on turnpike...

Nearly same as svarox here, i have some red spikes, yet i don't get framedrops and my ping is as usually (35-70). I get lag or higher ping when sb else in house is surfing, but that has no connection to urt.

Maybe thing is, when we have 45 players server sends more information. Those who have weaker PC and connection get framedrops, lag and red spikes, because their PC cant proceed all information. Just guess, why don't you all say how exactly strong your PC is and what connection.

I have AMD 64 X2 5600+, GeForce 8600GT 512MB, 4GB DDR RAM @ 800mhz, 500GB HD (that doesn't matter, does it?) and ADSL with 400KB DL and 8KB UL. I have Ubuntu 9.04.

My FPS are almost nonstop at 125 straight, with my 4x2,67 GHz Quadcore CPU and a 9800GT with 4GB RAM I have no problems in terms of processing power.
There are no framedrops but there are huge lags and high pings for me once there are many people on the server.
