I have ubuntu (linux) and i don't have static IP (will that be problem?), but server should be online only when i want it. I just need to talk, no need of passwords, or just to put some simple passwords one time. It is fix number of users (8 is max, always same users) and its important that we can talk to each other, so its simple server.

About linux there are no viruses (unless i start them with sudo myself, i'm not that stupid) so firewall doesn't exist.

EDIT: I installed murmur-server packet, and all necessary packets, but how to run it? Console says murmur-server doesn't exist, but in synaptic it is...

EDIT2: I've setuped .ini and run murmud so it works in background. But server i created doesn't exist. If I'm trying to get in as SuperUser username is SupersUser (i've set up pasword "murmud -supw)? What to do, which line(s) i should fill (and how) in .ini?

err well in the ini you don't have to change much if you want a very simple layout, you can disable both dbus and ice support (ice is disabled by default), you will still need the sqlite db for mumble to store it's information, you might want to activate port forwarding in your router (port 64738) to your ip, maybe you will have to set a static IP at your desktop.
A service like dyndns.org will help your 7 friends to connect because they do not have to ask you for your IP address (and you won't have to look it up every time you want someone to connect).
If you have added a supw you should be able to connect with a custom server (address localhost, username SuperUser, password the one you just set).

Hi. There is a small problem. I played on the tdm-server and had all the guys from the bomb-server on the speaker. Do I have to do some configuration or do you have to add a new channel or something else?
I'm playing Urt on a Mac.

There are not too many people using mumble, mostly us admins and a few other people. We play on TDM most of the time, but when there are enough people, we decide to go to the bomb server most of the time. Yet we are still using the same channel we were in, when we played on the TDM (there is no autoswitch enabled for the bomb server as there are so little people playing on there anyhow). If other people wish to actually use mumble for TDM while we are playing bomb, it is no problem. We will then switch channels if asked so. But the thing is, aside of us and a few regular people we know, nobody ever uses mumble despite our efforts and advertising
So it is only expected behaviour that you heard the people from the bomb server as we occupy the same mumble server and (most of the time) the same channel as on TDM.
