Now i read that Krauss Maffei Wegman offered old gepard tanks.
50 of them, they are available now.
Sounds like ok, 50 old tanks, time to die now for the drivers.

The offer is from Feb 25, since then nothing.
That sounds serious, press is silent since then, KMW too.

That tank is pretty old and the army threw it out in 2008 or so.
Cause its a lame Air Defense System.
Theres rockets now. Passive target locking.
Old thingy with that you cannot hide...

But why then this?
Some german soldiers left the army in protest when they put it out of service.
Cause it was a survival guarantee for german cities in case the russians come.
It would perform unbelievable in street fighting, since vehicles basically have no radar.
They cannot be warned, they cannot track or target radar. They cannot use radar to target.
A foggy day is when tyres burn, right? Easy...


The vehicle is pretty fast for a tank, armor is good, but OFC nothing compared with modern Standards. Its the leopard1 basically.
But its radar locks guns on any metal target in much less then 1 sec.
its turrets turn speed is impressive, really.
It forces every target to leave their (metal) vehicle now.
The Rounds kill everything in a radius of 30-50m so nobody survive leaving a vehicle.
While its shooting, its already searching for the next target, its a fucking aimbot.
Heavy tanks could survive 1-2-3 shots of that but not the 50 that it fires 1 second or so.
Plus a tank needs longer then 1/3sec for preparing a shot, theres no chance to have a shooting position in a city when this vehicle is on the plan.
6000m effective range!

The gun is so precise and fast, it can catch super sonic jet fighter planes in low altitude fly over.
it has no problem to hit a car or anything on the ground, it can fire downwards.
I would say it could lock/destroy 2-3 new targets in every second.

That system was unique even in the NATO.
Now we have something similar for streetfighting which is much more high tech with a bastard PC that crashes when You need it.
This bastard is reliable.

And best of it all:
You can program it to act full automatic and unmanned, with or without remote control.
Go away, it waits for the russians.

And sure it shoots aircraft too.
Just drive to the airport and put camp protection mode to
"6000m - 1 round/target - all altitudes - 360°"

Just dont forget it. It eats several tons of ammo every a day, and, its hard to load all that ammo since its going to be loaded from top.
Thats the main critics on the vehicle, you need 3 heavy trucks to bring all that ammo for 1 tank and some peple must stand exposed to reload it.

We've found medication for a child \0/. Whew...

Today it is a bit quiet. I hear mostly our artillery sad thing is I hear them closer. I hope returning fire will miss us lol.
Many people on the streets. Mostly in queues for humanitarian aid or stores.

Electricty, heating, water and internet are still present. We are lucky in that regard because we are in the southern part of the city.

From my point of view our army fucked them up near Kharkiv (I hope I'm not wrong) that's why it is quieter now.
I'm not sure it'll be that quiet for a long time though.

So far situation is liveable.

As these are only the documented losses I would view it as a lower limit.
Anyways if there is any truth to this, Putin is burning down the Russian people in an unsustainably rate. In a few days he will have surpassed the losses in the afghan war.

Impressive list, especially when You look how mor and more vehicles get captured.

#1 rule for every soldier is: Keep Your hands off enemy equipment!
But Ukrainian army is already trained on that equipment. When they capture them in the move, theres no chance that they are mined.

This heavy equipment is very useful, not only for firing.
