There’s an issue with the new autobalancer (that we the eagle-eyed QA people of course didn’t spot), it doesn’t work properly in TS and bomb. The player moved to the other team at the round end will spawn on the wrong side — and oddly enough, killing him gives you a TK warning although (s)he’s otherwise 100% in the other team, scoreboard and skin and whatnot all agree on this. No other gamemodes are affected though.

.017 released, autobalancer fixed (and disabled by default), some minor bug fixes, all binaries compiled without the SSE2 flags again (apparently the optimizations caused microstuttering for some people, even though almost every single processor produced in the last 10 years is technically compatible). See the news thread.

If the sound seems horrible it’s because the dmaHD sound engine has been enabled by default (again). You can turn it off by entering /dmaHD_enable 0 in the console, or in the settings menu (Setup → System → Sound). You may have to set the quality to 22 (/s_khz 22) to get the sound back to normal.
