Flash may be scaring people away. For example, yesterday I just made a script that executes "killall npviewer.bin" (npviewer.bin bould be all and any flash in my browser), just because loading flash stuff takes bandwidth, CPU time and memory.

(why do I get this feeling I'll get a tempban for this post)

hm dont forget 1 very important thing:
it requires a client installation.
generally i prefer server based code.

and seriously:
everything needed on a website can be done without any flash/java/silverlight. any automatic execution of programs on the client should be forbidden.

I guess that's because more and more high skill players are coming and staying around here, scares people away :S
The flash only scares the ppl trying to access dswp.de, and that's the minority ^^

yep, the most other big urt servers are just boring nap territory....

You're saying that you're surfing the web without FlashBlock? OMG, I can't stand this. Surfing without AdBlock and FlashBlock is teh horroros!

As for popularity - I like it better now, the "Server is full" screen is almost gone, much better than waiting to be able to connect. xD

Well, flash lags my pc a lot, but at least none virus can't come to it. Unless i install it with "sudo virus"
I have to click on any flash to load it.
