Hi, What this Post will be about: Suggestions how to make the "bomb experience" more fun. Get more players play bomb, make the near perfect bomb server. This is MY view, certainly not everybody will like it because it is MY view/opinion and opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one. Tell me why you do not like it! Why: I think there are not enough people playing bomb, and it could be made more fun with the right maps and cycles. Also maybe (I don't want to talk into "rights system" but change them a little bit, but I will come to that right away)

Still to come! (Stuff like certain B3 Plugins if found or stuff found that makes it more fun(crates), mby make teams in mumble when more ppl are online... litte tweeks to time settings relative to maps etc.)
#1 Server administration and moderation INGAME
Well, I don't like how servers are moderated a lot of times, its fine on days like the dswp sunday but only cause there are like 10 admins/mods sitting in there. #2 Cycles and maps that should be on the server:
I think cycles should be changed on a regular basis (ever 1-2 weeks). If there is a big and small cycle mby only every 2 weeks, if there is onyl 1 cycle probably every week. Total changes don't have to be done. I'd like the cycles to each have 12 maps of wich 6 are voted out of pregiven choices. 3-4 will be maps that will be set by admins and the other 2-3 slots will also be set by admins and if they want new maps. (A little like the tdm map vote PS: I am all for 2 cycles). Comment: if c_2* then c_3* and if c_2** then c_3** etc.

#2 How I chose these cycles:
What I wanted to do is: Make a archive specialised on bomb-maps, this is what I started 2 days ago. I will add a attachment or link to pastebin that contains my whole review file but this is made for the bomb server and only maps that make sens for a bomb server will be in the list, this means that also maps for the occasional TS will be in this list (but also listed as those). Because it happens that sometimes the bomb server is filled with only a few ppl so why not let them play TS on maps that dont have bombspots? But these will not be recommended as Maps for a cycle. I will also devide into 3 Cycles: c_1 == allround-cycle maps that allways work if it is chosen not to have small and big cycle 2-3 versions of this will be made, c_2 == small-cycle (in meaning that the maps are small and for fewer players than 10), c_3 == big-cycle (in meaning that the maps are big and for a larger number of ppl so up to 16). I will still or have allready made some other comments. I will also consider 2 versions of each kind of cycle marking them with a * or ** mby even *** for a third cycle, this will be seen in the cyclelist at the end. (This list advances relativly slowly because im looking through a whole lot of maps as you can see in the attachment)
001//ut4_aztek_b2 => c_2 && c_1 => Good map, ported from counter strike but too small for 16 player 002//ghzone-xxy => => More a fun-bomb map that "real" bomb map, but it should be on the server, mby out there to be voted into a cycle. 003//ut4_shahideen => c_3 => Good map, it is a quite big map. 004//ut4_cs_assault_b2 => c_1 && c_2 && c_3 => Very good map, for more or fewer player-numbers this is a fun map that is more complex as thought to be. 005//ut4_pff => => Fun map, but really its more BS than a "real" bomb map. 006//ut4_iran3 => => Though it features no bombspot it still made it in the list because it is a excellent map for TS when the server is not filled. 007//ut4_kingdom => c_1 && c_2 && c_3 => This is a map I really love! it is great at any occasion. 008//ut4_kingpin => c_1 && c_2 => This is a great allround map, but when it is played with more than 10 player I feel that it is too crowded. 009//ut_jihad => c_2 => Nice small bomb map 010//ut4_aztek_ruins => => It features no bombspot but for a duel when there are only for example 4 player on the server this is a good map to have. 011//ut4_barn => c_2 => Nice small bomb map (fast!) 012//chronic => => No bombspot, but dr.dre and eminem what more?! Nice to have on a server for occasional TS 013//ut4_beijing_b3 => c_3 => A good map for bomb. 014//ut4_guerrilla => c_1 => Nice small map. 015//ut4_metropolis_b2 => c_3 => Extremly fun, allot of ppl find this to be too big. 016// ut4_orbital => c_1 && c_2 && c_3 => Great allround map. 017//ut4_ricochet => c_1 && c_2 && c_3 => Underrated, should be in a cycle. Not shure in wich, I will put it in all for the moment. 018//ut4_poland_b11 => c_3 => Nice map good change for austria. 019//ut4_abby => c_1 && c_3 => good allround map, but not for a specific small cycle. 020//ut4_casa => c_1 && c_2 && c_3 => Great map for any occasion. 021//ut4_swim => c_1 && c_2 && c_3 => Oh boy, I love this one! 022//ut4_temple2_beta => c_3 => Its great, its big, i love it! 023//ut4_tohunga_b9 => c_2 => Great small map but 10 players really is enugh. 024//ut4_train_dl1 => c_3 => Great map, but certainly for the big cycle. 025//ut4_trug => c_2 => Good SMALL map, low playeramount: fast & fun gameplay 026//ut4_village => c_3 => Good but BIG map. 027//ut4_venice_b7 => c_1 && c_3 => Good map. 028//ut4_commune => c_1 && c_2 && c_3 => Should be in a cycle. (4.1.1?) 029//ut4_nepal => c_2 => Small but allot of fun. 030//ut4_ambush => c_2 => Quite fun nothing special. (Bombspots a little close, small player amount?) 031//ut4_algiers => c_1 => Its ok for bomb. 032//ut4_austria => c_3 => Good map, belongs into a big cycle. 033//ut4_crossing => c_1 => Good allround map. 034//ut4_eagle => c_3 => Fun but very big. 035//ut4_harbortown => c_3 => Underrated, certainly but it does not have to be there. 036//ut4_madolin => c_1 && c_2 => A must have, not shure if it should go into a big or small cycle. I'd say small. 037//ut4_maya => c_3 => Those who like it like it, if it goes into a cycle then into a big one. 038//ut4_prague => c_2 => Certainly for a small cycle. 039//ut4_ramelle => c_1 && c_2 => Should be in a cycle. 040//ut4_sanc => c_1 && c_2 => Good map, nothing special. 041//ut4_thingley => c_2 => A good bomb map. 042//ut4_subway => c_3 => A good map, if it goes into a cylce then only big. 043//ut4_uptown => c_1 && c_2 => Good map but too small/fast for 16 players. 044//ut4_turnpike => c_1 && c_2 && c_3 => This is interesting because it seems to work even for 16 players. 045//ut4_tunis => c_2 => Fun but nothing special. 046//ut4_toxic => c_1 && c_3 => Good map certainly for a cycle. 047//ut4_suburbs => c_3 => I dont like it that much, but why not? 048//ut4_riyadh => c_3 => I dont like it for bomb but it could be voted into a cycle. 049//ut4_oildepot => c_3 => I like it but it if you play it to often it gets boring. 050//ut4_tombs => c_1 && c_3 => This is extremly underrated, but probably to big for a small cycle. 051//ut4_dust_a4 => c_1 && c_2 && c_3 => I really love this map, up there with kingdom! 052//ut4_dust2_v2 / v3b => c_3 => A good map but too big for fewer players. 053//ut4_breathe_b2 => => Features no bombspot but should be there for occasional ts. 054//ut4_domus_b1 => c_2 => Nice map, very simple. 055//ut4_sliema => c_3 && c_1 => Good map should be in a cycle, quite underrated 056//ut_crate => => Crate map, sadly no bombspot (quite small) but should be on the server. 057//ut4_metro_b2 => c_3 => VERY good map but certainly only for a big cycle. 058//ut_deep => => No bombspot but should be on the server for diving. 059//ut_aardtimes_beta2 => c_1 && c_3 => I dont know why I like this one. 060//ut4_jerusalem_b1 => c_3 => Great map but BIG. 061//ut4_rip_b6 => c_2 => Should be on a small cycle. 062//ut4_persia / 2 => c_2 => Should be on a small cycle.

Thanks for the nice list and the work you put into it! <3Thumbs up! :-) I already tried a few maps with havoc today on our bomb server, and I think they would really add to the cycle. We also found out that for some maps, I (and other players) cannot see the bomb spots on the map, only on the minimap -- while for havoc, they're always visible. Examples are ut4_rip_b6 (black bomb spot on bridge) and ut4_metro_b2 (red bomb spot completely missing, black bombspot can only be seen partly). .

With the original binaries, everything seems fine. .
