MOST TERRIFYING 180 DEGREE MISUNDERSTANDING OF THE YEAR 2012!
My AMBIGUOUS WORDING made you understand the EXACT OPPOSITE of what I WANTED TO SAY! :-(
What I wrote:

I am probably one of the oldest players here and have seen countless communication problems in both private life and business life, therefore I'm really trying to express myself as unambiguously as possible (except when it's meant to be funny ;-) -- but as one can see here, I still fail from time to time. :-/
So: Sorry, dmmh, for the the seeming arrogance in my posting which was supposed to be the exact opposite of arrogance, namely a bow to your 99 % flawless bans here.
About my unbanning announcement
dmmh wrote:
I don't like it when someone dictates me what to do and promiss to unban someone when a demo isn't posted in a certain timeframe. You're nothing more then anybody else here, last time I checked. Nothing less either, (OFCOURSE!) but it's my opinion it's a bit out of proportion to dictate other admins what to do, and what not, wouldn't you think so? [...]
I'm sorry if my plans to unban this player were too harsh. :-( My maternal feeli^W^WRobin Hood feelings got the better of me. I have seen so many of (IMHO) wrong decisions (from just a bit of slapping to as much as a permanent ban) based mostly on emotions (sorry for using the e-word :-}, that I might have become a bit overprotective.
For this reason (many decisions made in the heat of the moment), we already do get "dictated" what to do, namely to
not ban for more than 3 days in game (imposed technically), and
to give proper reasons (especially for bans) (requested many times by Ana/Wursti and other players), and
to supply demos/explanations for bans (generally deemed "gold standard", I think :-).
Here is what I will do in future:
I will keep questioning questionable ban reasons ("In dubio pro reo") and I beg other people for doing the same with my bans, because I know that I am all but perfect.
(Your voice has been heard, dmmh!) I will NOT unban a player if the ban is "only" a 3-day ban. This is the maximal amount of potential injustice I am willing to bear.
dmmh wrote:
By the way: I asked wurst to de-admin me. [...]
As your request was at least partly based on an incredible misunderstanding, caused by my faulty wording, I would like you to reconsider the whole story and give us one more chance. There might be a few slight collisions here and there, but each collision makes the edges rounder and makes us get along better. :-} <3
And if you think it's currently too bothersome to administer the game, then you can simply resort to reducing your admin activities, no need to throw away God Mode. ;-) Nothing unmanly about revising (or postponing) a decision, so don't feel pressed to take this line to the end.

no hard feelings by the way, no emotions either, I'm just tired of people who act like Coldwar era East-Berlin people ;)
Sorry for the Coldwar era East-Berlin (brrrr! :-) atmosphere I created. My utmost goal is to spread mieziness all over the world.
[color=#eebb00] So: Sorry, dmmh, for the the seeming arrogance in my posting which was supposed to be the exact opposite of arrogance, namely a bow to your 99 % flawless bans here.
yeah, that's what I understood. It's ok, I misunderstood you. I don't need a bow from you, I see every admin as an equal man It's ok.
However, this doesn't deminish in any way how I feel about how things have turned for the worse here.
There's a lot of measures in place to prevent emotional bans, like you also point out, like 3 day bans, demo required etcetera. But all this admins questioning other admins now makes me record demos for entire lenght of map, just because all the questioning makes everything so paranoid.
I banned someone for aimbot, forgot about that, Im sure I have a demo, wantd to post today, but I played the whole day and finding the demo with the ban is simply impossible. That's a result of all this paranoia, I cant find my friggin demos anymore, because I have to resort to demoing every map I play, for all 12 minutes. I mean: how sad is that, really? Is that my fault? No.
nowadays, there's b3 messages which spam to complain about admins when they abuse. This implies admins will someday abuse, or often abuse, or always abuse, and give users a feeling of being more then admins/ mods, and make a admins/ mods actions questionable when he still has to perform said action.
The there's the message "admins think before you react". I slapped someone 10 times bc he was tking on purpose, then he referred to the message, for being slapped. So it results in annoying little cunts thinking they are more then admins, even when the player is actually doing the breaking of the rules, not the admin. Admin has to post demos, post a thousand apologies for banning someone, make a topic, etcetera. Seriously, this is just way out of proportion.
This way, I just don't want to be a admin anymore. I like to play, not to defend every action to everybody. Being an admin ofcourse comes with it upsides, but also with it's downsides, and the downsides seem to be winning currently.
what's wrong with a b3 message: if you do not agree with a admin's decision, please post in llama's corner on dswp.de forums! That sounds so much different then "to complain about lame admin abuse, go here!". Hell, maybe spam it in the ban message itself, so ppl know where to go?

Uargl?! This has definitely gone wrong.

Definitely not. It seems that paranoia is contageous, sotosay. Time to relax and tolerate some "slack"/"collateral damage" maybe.

Those are probably supposed to be funny, but I always raise an eyebrow when I see them.

ACKnowledged, but ...

... there is an alternative: Do as I try to do and follow Wursti's advice: Relax.
We're not responsible for the life of people, it's just a game.
If you still feel like giving up rights, send a goatse of yours in "The Charme of a UrT Player".
8-) That was the first thing I noticed when I became admin. I thought it's a security bug and obediently reported it to Wursti, who didn't tell me anything about my new status, dat biatch. %-)

mig22? Find the smallish demo recorded within few minutes of the post, and that’s the one.

Which reminds me: I usually don't say anything if an admin has set a comprehensible (non (too) emotional) ban reason, even if there is no demo attached and if the ban gets never extended to the 30 days (or whatever is appropriate).
So even less pressure for dmmh and the other cunts. =)
