Well, in that case I take back what I said

I've seen many pages using Mb for Megabyte and did not know it actually is supposed to only be used for Megabit. In that case the service did it correctly of course

ye as I said this only changed to confuse. Now they say the Hard drive has 320 GB but in real its only 298 GB... and that is significant difference.

Especially since most operating systems (aside of Mac OS X and the next Ubuntu) use MiB instead of MB where some even wrongly advertise it as MB (e.g. Windows) even though they display MiB.

That's probably because they still live in the age when some architectures had 7-bit bytes. >_>

@ Mb thema: theres another correct scale for amount of Information called Mb:
Mega Basepaires. Its for counting DNA, we have 4 possibilities instead compi-known 2...
