Despite many popular beliefs, Linux was originally designed to serve a certain purpose, and thus, obviously, to work in the process.
Anyone remember the days when Oblivion would not run on 64-bit Windows? Well, I used to run it on 64-bit Linux (and on a 1600MHz CPU, while it required 2.0GHz; and using 64MB or VRAM for Cedega, while Oblivion required 128MB). And guess what, it was working with more stability than it was on Windows XP Pro 32-bit.
