Anyway how to make a .gif out of demo on linux easly

I know I'm a bit late but:

If you have a beast of a computer you can try byzanz (sudo apt-get install byzanz), otherwise capture frames one by one (print screen or so) and paste them into GIMP as layers and Save As .gif. Bottom layers are first frames, top layers are last frames.
