today I found out i am on the UAA banlist..

WTF?

hmm anyone got experience with this?
I'm really shocked cuz since i found 'our' server i hardly ever play anywhere else and i'm not that good anymore..

..So, anyone have any idea how this could've happened and how i can convince them i'm not a cheater and should therefore not be banned?

do you have a dynamic IP? If so just get a new one :D
We actually don't participate in the UAA system because the majority of our players does use dynamic IPs and therefor the attempt to ban by IP is futile. (And yes we calculated chances and even admins would have been banned by UAA lists)

But if you actually have a static IP, search for the demo that matches it and check if it shows you.

The ban is more than 1 years old, maybe you can ask UAA to remove it... If you don't use dynamic IP I would be interested to know how it happened. Do you have a nasty young brother who play with hacks ? =)

Yup as havoc said, no dynamic ip doesnt mean that you have unique ip... i have many problems with cheaters on same IP when i was playing CS nonsteam...

Did you play from a hotel or a school ?

hmm must be someone in the neighborhood then
since i never played with the name thijsfigter - nor hav i cheated in the last 10 years (before that the usual godmode in doom and stuff )
let's see if i can find the demo
..Oh and there's another nasty thing: i was like 'hey i'll go and spam their forum' but they wont send me an activation mail for my account =/

well that defenitely is a botter on the demo, and it aint me.
..Finally after 24 hours i get an activation mail and i can start spammin the UAA forum
so things should work themselves out now.
