I could agree with you if we are talking about an older Windows OS that doesn´t use the NT kernel.
I am not saying the NT kernel is best thing out there, but from my experience never had a program that crashed the whole system.
I also use Linux, so don´t torture me.

No, it's not so big problem in Windows as it is in: antivirus, antispyware, firewall...
They make everything you do 3 times slower than it should be. (Windows help a lot)
