I had my doubts but I really got spooked by his camping at the door you will see in the demo, shooting at the ambulance and all that... so here is the demo, please tell me if I'm right or not.

One more demo of him.
There are at least two situations where he knows what he is not supposed to know.

And when you reviev MaGaO's demo using mombot it's kind of obvious what he is doing by the door.

-He aims directly at the enemy behind the wall for a second at least once.

-He is waiting for a clear opendoor-shoot-closedoor situation, mombot don't 'see' through some elements like door but you can see how he tries to triangulate the enemy position based on what is seen.

Say again? Review his demo using what?

Is it unethical to use wallhack to review a demo?
I mean, that way u see exactly what the spected person would see preovided he is wallhacking. You basicly use cheaters weapon against him.

Well we do have something called......r_shownormals.
And yes it is very much unethical. I've seen how you play and now you admit to have a cheat client installed on your computer and you use it?
I don't care what anyone will say to defend you, but that's an instant ban, regardless of what you claim to be using it for.
Nobody can say for sure you're not toggling it while playing.

It's like to send a person to prison just for having a knife at home.
Knives themselves are neither good nor bad. It's the purpose for which they are used that determines that.


As i wrote there are significant diferences beatween the way r_shownormals and wallhack works - wollhack does not render through everything what can be very usefull to spot one.


Nobady can say that for sure about anybody. The fact that i openly claim to use it to reviev demos does not change that.

Just to clarify i never turn it on ingame, EVEN even when i'm specting sb. I have sepatate executable file for switching the thing on and use it only on prerecorded demos.

No but nobody has openly admitted to have and use one.
And it's your word against...well your statement that you have it installed on your computer and you use it.
The way i see it you're just another hacker. Of course you wont say "yeah i use it all the time" what else will you say than "no i NEVER used it".
And that person with a knife thing? Now that's just stupid, it should sound more like. Would you send a person to prison if it writes e-mails in which he/she states he/she wants to kill someone and goes into details about the murder.

Ok, if we are to be exactly precise in terms of methapore it's way more like to: admit to HAVE the nuclear bomb, but use it only to keep the status quo with, say North Korea =>, yes the fact that u have one, even if only for the right couse, it's disturbing. Still u are not doing something bad unless u acually do something bad.
I belive that my way of thinking is reasonable and wouldn't even bother anybody, hence i didn't hesitate to write about it on the forum.

we do not issue bans for having a hack installed for demo viewing around here

FWIW (and to give IceColdKIlla some support): I have been thinking
about doing something similar as IceColdKIlla: Setting up a second
client (with different GUID) with all bots and hacks available for
UrbanTerror. And I would not only use it for watching demos, I'd also
test them in game -- maybe on an empty server of ours, together with
other dswp-people for testing, but maybe (for a very short period so
as to not annoy the player's too much) also on a regular server.

Motives:

- Improving judgement on cheaters, especially on wallhacking. The
safer my judgement, the more/earlier I can ban and thus help keeping
the servers annoyance-free.

- Curiosity (but not that much, I'm a little older than most of you :-).


Non-Motives:

- Brushing up my ego -- how can it be good for your ego if you annoy
other people?
