About making games for android/iPhone: i'm not much of a programer, and even less programer for making games. Moreover i don't have android/iphone and i don't think they are worth it anyway...
You can make simple games pretty easily with
Unity which is the main game making program we have used in school. Perfect for making simple IOS games. There's a ton of good tutorials and the forums are really helpful
The program itself is free but if you want to publish the game for money you have to pay for the licence which you can use for as many games you can make.
