Some days ago GNUino had the idea to add a player list to conky. Conky is a resources monitor for linux which can basically display anything. We both wrote a script (me in perl and him in shell) that displays mumble, irc and game servers users. Here is my .conkyrc and the script. You just need to modify the last line to point to the script file :

I want similiar Windows 7 widget plzzz. I'm also curious to see how that thingy of yours will look like when there's 45 ppl on the server and like 15 on irc or something

Ah in fact it only counts registered people, so only few of the 45 players are displayed, and on IRC you need to be authenticated, so I guess it won't flood your wallpaper that much except maybe every sunday night

And my dswp (pure shell script), is ugly, slow, and only for "educational" purpose

That's right, I just quit school. I'm starting working in family friends company next monday but I can do the most of the work @ home. Also going to apply to a new school in few weeks.
