Just a quick reminder for all of you thinking about getting
an arrow air rifle or an arrow air handgun like these:

In Germany, as of 2020-09-01, you will need a WBK for this type of guns.
So if you got the money, now might be a good time to spend it. :-)

Crossbows are not affected, AFAIK. So you can buy this:

are you telling me this was legal up to now but a pellet gun as in air rifle with similar firepower was not? This looks a lot more harmful, how many joules of firepower does one of these have? Or is that scope just for show?

I know I'm a month late, but 104 J of energy is a decent amount.

Simple physics (E=mgh) indicates that's about the same energy you get when dropping 10kg of payload from height of 1m. Imagine a 10kg stone with a sharp end being dropped onto your head from 1 meter above it. Ouch. Don't actually try it, believe science this time. Or test on a composite plaque instead of your head like the guy in video.

Don't worry, no foolhardy Russians around.
