BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE
- write !register, so b3 welcomes u and many other things

DO
- give medic: especially help dying teammates so they dont bleed out
- always join the loser team
- think about what you do. if you help your team, your team helps you..
- read the b3 warnings!!!!!!
- if you accidently teamkill, say: sorry!, sry, soz (= sorry about that) or something alike...
- type !fa if someone excused with sorry after accidently killing you
- with !xlrstats you can see your stats (if you used !register before)
- be nice to admins, then they are nice to you
- disconnect when idling, being in spec = automatic tempban. because you use up slots for others

DONT
- dont suicide, get something to medic you
- dont spam, also no radiospam
- dont swear
- dont shoot/kill ur teammates (= teamattack / ta)
- dont block
- dont spawncamp/basecamp/camp
- dont write in spec mode! the playing users can only read your stuff if they are dead
- DONT CHEAT! the admins will get your sorry ass...

xtra strong DONT's:
- argueing with admins
- insulting or attacking admins in ANY way
- teamattacking admins
- fast disconnect afterwards... we can get you sorry ass and ban you even after you have played on the server

ACCIDENTLY BANNED? WHAT NOW?
- you can use MUMBLE to connect to our MURMUR voice server, you need a forum account for it.

on mumble you can meet all the psychos "running" the server. and most of the time somebody is on = not in afk channel
a sidenote:
mumble takes a bit to be set up right. but just come to the server and kindly ask for help, and you will get helped. :>

we stick to it as it works SHITLOADS better than everything else... old/newer battle.com, gamevoice, ventrilo, teamspeak 1 & 2 and whatever else there may be, you name it. mumble is better in terms of latency, quality, system load etc.

- if it does not work via mumble, then use irc.
we are in #dspw on Quakenet, if you got no IRC client, use the webapplet http://www.dswp.de/old/chat.php

- no reaction on irc? use the board/forum...

- or just ask an admin on the server to remove the warnings... but only if you said sorry and the victim does not respond.
but only twice, asking more often will not help you in any way, i promise. if there is no warn removal, then there is a reason for that.

- don't advertise (quite uncommon but I warned someone the last days for that)
- don't flood with votes
- don't walk in front of a shooting teammate...

About forgiving : I use !fp instead of !fa to avoid forgiving naughty teammates

In case you apologize and nobody forgives you :
- you can ask admins to remove team attack warnings
If no admin is online and/or you get banned accidentally, you can contact them to unban you :
- on the forum
- on mumble (murmurinfo.php)
- on IRC (server quakenet, channel #dswp)
- by homing pigeons =p

I'd say no excessive camping, spawn camping/killing, however since it's hard to make a rule for that an online admin would have to decide what's "excessive".
I recommend using !fp as well, for the obvious reason that I maybe do not want to forgive the jackass that threw a nade on my position ...

That I dont really mind, shit happens.

The teamkills I do mind about are the ones where you kill an enemy and one of your teammates, because he is so unskilled and has itchy trigger fingers, start shooting right through you at an enemy which is already dead, a ghost if you will, killing you in the process.

Or people who just don't care about what's in their line of fire and just spray away, regardless if you are near or not, shooting you in legs and arms....great! (y)

Sorry but I have to submit one Philosophical and borring wondering :

I know that it can be a subjective point of you but could you tell us more about : "camping, spawn camping/killing". It would help me because I don't understand what is "camping".

Some maps are fair to play with SR8 and sniping can be a good challenge by hiding in corners and not moving at all untill the enemy comes into the cross sight.

there is simply a difference between camping and defending/sniping...

- camping = sitting down just for stats purposes
- of course snipers can rush (spec the right guys for examples of this)
- it is often of utmost importance to hold positions on a map (i.e. apartment on uptown)

holding a position against attacking enemies is ok.
but sitting far from the front, scrounging frags, never advancing at all, that is lame camping crap.

I take defense positions too, I just don't always use the same position, it depends on where it's most needed. That, in my book, is playing defensive with a sniper rifle, not camping.
Like stv said, camping is just hiding in a corner for almost the entire map, like on casa, near the blue spawn, some ppl will just sit there the fuckin entire map. Or near market, on the blue side or near the spawn on red....sad sad little cunts.

Or on subway, aiming at a certain point from the radio room to the metro, just waiting until someone walks into their crosshair.
That's so fuckin lame.

Aside from being lame, if a lot of players play like this, your team will lose, TDM is all about attacking!
