Today, AimMe thought of buying a new hdd, only to find the prices being ridiculously high. Thus we cannibalized my laptop's HDD. The following image shows my laptop without it's 250GB HDD which is worth cca 100 euro in the local stores nowdays.

Also, we had to open many boxes to find two cables that would connect a laptop HDD into a desktop computer.

The following two images show how we had to bend the computer case a bit so the HDD could fit into a place where it can be attached firmly enough.

But in the end AimMe was happy.

Yeah WD got a little problems in Thailand and everybody wants to make money from it.. We got it funny here too. The max price I've seen was like 300% of the original price, but the site was still claiming 20% discounts. And that was when still you could buy the same disk in Austria for like 120%.. They asked them why so high prices -> no response.

Actually, it was a half-dead zombie for some time now. It "survived" two thunders. After the first one only the Ethernet card died, after the second one much more died (most notably WLAN and some functions of the graphics card - i.e. the picture was scrambled and I couldn't use higher resolutions).
