Thanks a lot for the link. A still working live stream that even streams the audio where you can listen to the people and proclamations, thats really something.
I can only hope that something changes in Spain. I want to move there either this year or the next year. I don't worry so much about myself, because I am fortunate enough to have work, but one day I'm gonna have children and they should have a future there, along with all those other young people that are less fortunate than me. It is true that many changes that were about to happen (or at least promised to happen) would benefit these youths, but they are coming far too late and on a scale that isn't enough. 45% unemployment among the 18-25 years old folks is horrible - and that is mostly due to absolutely horrible politics.
I don't know all of the details myself, but what I know so far is: it is way too difficult and too expensive to fire people, which is why most young people can only get temporary jobs - nobody wants to hire permanently. And then there is the corruption, which still plays a major role even today. Corrupt politicians are still ruling, dozens and dozens of them, making politics that benefit major companies and the financial upper class, but causing problems for the young people.
Then their political system strongly benefits the existing political parties, the smaller ones have barely any influence, so creating a difference and working towards changes is quite a complicated task.
I wish those people all the best from the bottom of my heart. I hope they will be successful and I kind of regret that I'm not down there to join them.
