Open beta was out, i played it. Then they had some problems with the game publisher. And they had to find a new one, not sure if it's still in open beta anymore.

I've spent last few hours googling various things (couldn't sleep) and found a mess. Not sure whether it's a scam or not; the only thing I can say for sure is that five of the members of the dev team (DarkAce/BlueAce/Saleeo/Saleea/Sarakelly) appear to be tentacles of some disturbed person. This, however, does not disqualify the project itself. Most of the other devs do exist, although whether or not they know about this project is unknown (Justin "slackin35" Clark; Thomas "Keres/Žalost" Havlik; Phommarinh "Saanglao" Phetsarah; presumably this Urban.Legend (his(?) UrT account has been mostly unused); and I couldn't find Supa (that is, someone with that name who should be him)). BTW, the company that runs the OT project is GamingTilt LLC; Richard "TheRick" Alvarez is in the board.

Sure. If they had the sources, the question would be "how in the sweetest hell did they manage to get it that broken?" BTW, this isn't OpenTerror in any way; it's the demo video for Alturt (the codebase OT guys are using in addition to Xfire). When you install Alturt, it appears to be what it logically should be, a mix of Quake 3 legacy code, code written from scratch, and UrT models (that is, it's using the PK3s in your q3ut4 directory; all the maps come from there, too).
