My bad I did not read that. But SanHolo is also on a mac, with Teamspeex. I assume Aimme uses that to, maybe he could help him.
When you want to change from TS... Ventrilo is also not an option i guess? Available for mac, too, btw.

€dit: Crap, Ventrilo is not available for linux, so forget it.

For linux you have teamspeak in repository. And you can download it here: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads (chose Linux TeamSpeak 2 Client). You install it and run TeamSpeak (one exebutable). Other is same as for windows i think. Go to connection --> Quick connect and write information there.

at some point you can use teamspeak on linux and mac os, but teamspeex has the features, looks and almost the quality of TeamSpeak beta, and if I remember right the linux version wasn't able to use ALSA and sometimes didn't unlock the OSS emulator your alsa has to provide to make it sound, resulting in a lot of nerdy little commands to get your sound back or a reboot ...
AFAIK Mumble really is the best solution if you want os independent voice communication. It however lacks a "real" admin interface (besides manipulating channels and edit channel acl)

u can choose windows, linux, bsd mac (if u would be the darling that buy us mercedes benz) or any that u get running in a vmwar server image (u can upload and start that here...)
xtj and me help sure with integration of phpbb_users table :)

ah btw independent communication: some1 got expirience with asterisk? then we could really fone, the winner gets access to my wired area telefon flatrate lol.

Getting the same user template for integration with murmur should not be that much of a problem. But I just checked the dbus methods and didn't see anything about moving players. I will file a feature request, maybe someone else needs that too.
I never worked with VMWare, can I create and maintain an Image with the free VMWare player that runs on your server?
And is there a way to get the installer (or sourcecode if I got that right on the page) without having to register?

debian lenny? nice ok, i install u that @ the weekend and let u there with port 22 and info bout IPs in lan.
nice thing in that virtual machines is that u can have a full machine backup, so before doing important shitz, we have possibility to save whole pc including hardware settings in 3 minutes.
bad side is mainly the harddisk performance, but we dont need rly fat disk here...
