people connecting and disconnecting

I tried to play on TDM a few moments ago, but it's rather deserted. And people seem to connect and disconnect at random (some of them stay in-game (and play) long enough for the game to start but disconnect soon after first interaction with them: i.e. we see/shoot at each other and then they disconnect).

Even screek joined, I saw his greeting and then he disconnected.

Anyone has any idea what it's all about?

P.S.: According to AJAX it's not just my computer having networking issues. Also, AJAX matched me to wrong stats ( tdm-player354699 ); my real stats should be what seems to be matched to my brother (tdm-player43963) who didn't even play at the moment.
