Ah, that brings back memories about how I just fell quantum physics last semester. I'll be repeating it next summer semester.
Typically you'll learn more from wikipedia than an average university lecturer of quantum physics.
If you're thinking that entangled state is the only phenomena that is faster than speed of light in vacuum, I assure you it is not. Almost any kind of waves can achieve phase velocity (velocity at which the phase travels, not the velocity of the wave front) can exceed light speed by far.
Anyway, what exactly bothers you about entangled states?
