Hm, until now, I wanted to relieve people (admin or not)
from the tedious task of manually extending a ban (as
long as it's an undebated case) to DSWP's standard ban
duration for cheaters (30 days).

dmmh, BeH, other admins: Is that okay or is that rather
another case of "Well-intentioned is the opposite of well
done"? *gulp*

I'm willing to learn, so just slap me in the right direction
when I step in it again. ;-}


EDIT: Asked Wursti on Mumble, and it seems
to be AOK. But I still want to hear from anybody who
feels uneasy with this.

With the autotopic here and the demo already upped, how many clicks remain?

1. Copy link of post to clipboard
2. Click on B3 link
3. If necessary, check player's chatlog
4. Check client history on former warnings, kicks
   and bans
5. Click on IP address to check if other players
   use that and have something in common with this
   very player.
6. Go back in browser history
7. Click on "Clients"
8. Enter player's name or relevant parts of it to
   see if that guy/girl has been playing using other
   accounts
9. Go back in browser history
10. Clear comment field, add reason
11. Clear link field, paste clipboard content
12. Click on "update"
13. Clear duration field, enter number
14. Select "days" from drop-down list
15. Clear reason field, enter reason
16. Click "tempban" (or "Instant Ban")
17. Go to the tab/window with the original
    posting.
18. Click on "Edit"
19. Prepend subject with "[BANNED FOR 30 DAYS]"
    or "[BANNED PERMANENTLY]"
20. Click on "Submit"
21. Click on "Quote" or "Post Reply"
22. Write "Banned for 30 days." and thank the author
    for his efforts. And/or discuss the cheater if something
    is not clear.
23. Click on "Submit"

And yes, before doing all of the above (at least most
of the times most of it), I always watch the supplied
demo(s).

So to answer your question: At least 23. =)

That's what I was concerned about, so thanks for the
feedback! Okay, then I'll spare you from my know-it-all
ban extensions ;-) from now and everybody else who
doesn't like other ppl to handle the ban extension
(EDIT: mods excluded, as they cannot extend bans).

Or even better, maybe I should only extend (non-dmmh)
bans which are about to expire ... hmm ...

I as well prefer good ol' 30d bans. But i have no problem extending (my own bans). Also, i do it with less clicks than Pirat
