BUMP: I realized about half an hour ago why the original version didn’t make any sense to me — being tired, I had forgotten the all-important “bitter aftertaste” part. Replaced the image with a correct one.

Anyway, I think the first version goes a bit too far from the traditional faux-cyrillic look (“too clever for his own good”), so here’s another one that also fits the style of Crossing better (courtesy to http://www.theworldofstuff.com/other/cyrillic.html):
