played some minesweeper in the info-classes in school during my apprenticeship. it got boring because of the random element for me.
at a certain point it is just luck, impossible to win just because of clear thinking. so what is the point then? same goes for diablo or any other games where you need luck for items to drop. (read: where you have to invest bigger and bigger amounts of time to level up just to have the _possibility_ to get things to improve your character... what for?)
and yeah, i had enough boredom there that i could finish expert like two dozen times which was enough for me.
